  • When you publish your photography book, I’ll be first in line to buy it.

On Marie Clayton’s comment. A fighter or who knows what he does with that thumb.
I want to see the movie Charlie is talking about.

  • Charlie

He’s getting ready to say “I need backup. Now!” into the mike that’s up his sleeve as he spots the villain eyeing him in the background. This is a scene in the upcoming thriller being released in the spring, is it not?

  • Marie Clayton

Ciao again Jann all the way from sunny Valentine, New south Wales, Australia. I think the guy she’s with is the bestman and she’s just told him she’s having his twins!! The guy in the background was her husband-to-be until she left him at the alter…what’s with the bandage on his thumb though??? I’m seeing a horse’s head in someone’s bed real soon!!!!!

    • Jann

Hi Maria all the way from sunny New South Wales–it’s great to hear from you. Well, you have a really over-the-top imagination! You were the only one who noticed that small detail of the bandaged thumb! (I didn’t) So he’s a fighter, but let’s hope it doesn’t get too gruesome!

  • I think that he is wondering if he has had that cappuccino mustache all through the ceremony…

Awesome picture! I think the girl at the bottom of the pic is also waiting for the show down!

  • John Schinina

Oh no, my ex pregnant girlfriend is here,I think I’m going to be sick.

  • Fabulous photo! I love the story lines invented, although the groom probably just burped up his breakfast.

  • Pina Marra

The man in the background kooks like the groom, he might be his father or his elder brother. The groom seems quite bored or worried…

  • Jann, this photo is a mini movie in itself! Brilliant! I’m with Kim–from our American point of view, there’s no better way to describe this reaction than “Oh shit!” hee hee!

  • Dennis Berry

I think that is his male lover and the groom realizes he just made a big mistake.

  • catherine billups

no, I don’t think that the handsome man in the background is her father. I think that he is the other man

  • Linda

probably the guy in the background is her dad. He is thinking about all the money he has just spent on the this wedding, new appliances, apartment for them and all the rest that comes with it.

  • Oh, this is just an AMAZING photo! It’s like a still from an Italian movie…Antonioni? Fellini? or maybe the American version by Scorcese. Beautiful framing, exquisite contrasts, wonderfully real characters. Bravissimo!

  • Josephine

It seems like the groom is thinking – Oh My God,I’m going to be sick. What did I just get myself into?
I’m assuming the bride was not allowed in Church with a strapless gown. Was she?I imagine she had a wrap to cover those scandalous bare shoulders! When I was married there 52 years ago the Pastor called me in to ask about the style of my gown.

    • Jann

Josephine, her veil probably covered those scandalous shoulders. Funny how you had to discuss bridal fashion with your pastor!

  • —He’s thinking: “Shit, no turning back now!”

    Loooooooove your photos, Jann.

  • Sam

I think the groom is concerned about the impending confrontation with the guy in the center of the photo, who appears to be advancing towards the newlyweds.
